Τα σχέδια σε σινική μελάνη του Άλκη Πιερράκου αποτελούν μια αυτόνομη ενότητα, είναι ωστόσο πλήρως ενταγμένα στη διαδικασία εξέλιξης της ζωγραφικής του. Από τα σχέδια αναδύονται εικόνες της φύσης και του κόσμου, που αναλύονται και ανασυντίθενται σε μονάδες φωτός και σκιάς. Κάποια από αυτά είναι περισσότερο παραστατικά, ενώ άλλα είναι αφηρημένες συνθέσεις, η προβολή ενός χαοτικού χώρου με μια αέναη αρμονική κίνηση μέσα στο χρόνο. Το μαύρο χρώμα απλώνεται με εξπρεσιονιστική, χειρονομιακή ένταση σε λεπτές γραμμές και κηλίδες πάνω στην επιφάνεια του λευκού χαρτιού, μεταδίδοντας έναν παλλόμενο ρυθμό, δημιουργώντας ένα χώρο εκρήξεων, φυγόκεντρων και κεντρομόλων δυνάμεων, στροβιλισμών και εκτινάξεων.

Alkis Pierrakos' drawings in ink constitute an autonomous unit, but they are fully integrated in the process of the evolution of his painting. Images of nature and the world emerge from the drawings, which are analysed and reconstructed in units of light and shadow. Some of them are more figurative, while others are abstract compositions, the projection of a chaotic space with a perpetual harmonious movement through time. Black paint is spread with expressionistic, gestural intensity in thin lines and blotches across the surface of the white paper, conveying a pulsating rhythm, creating a space of explosions, centrifugal and centripetal forces, eddies and ejections.
