The Parthenon Frieze. Block E IX (EN)
O γωνιακός λίθος IX σώζεται μόνο στα σχέδια του J. Carrey. Κάποια θραύσματα του σώζονται στο Μουσείο Ακροπόλεως. Εικονίζονται δύο γυναικείες μορφές (62 & 63) με βαρύ πέπλο αποσπασματικά σωζόμενες που κλείνουν την ομάδα. (EL)
It is only in Carrey’s drawing that corner block IX is preserved. A few fragments remain in the Acropolis Museum. Two female figures (62 and 63), preserved in fragments, are shown clad in thick peplos. These end the group. (EN)
