The Parthenon Frieze. Block N XIV (EN)
O λίθος μας είναι γνωστός από τα σχέδια του J. Carrey. Στη μέση του λίθου εικονίζεται ένας ηνίοχος (49) και ένας αποβάτης (50) με κράνος και ασπίδα να αγγίζει με το αριστερό του πόδι το έδαφος, έτοιμος δηλ. να πηδήξει. Δεξιά εικονίζονται τα άλογα του άρματος του λίθου ΧV. (EL)
The block is preserved only in Carrey’s drawing. In the middle of the block is depicted a charioteer (49) and an apobates (50) with helmet and shield and with his left foot already on the ground as he makes his leap. To the right are depicted the horses and chariot of block XV. (EN)
