The collections include primary documents such as books, magazines, photographs, archives, minutes of the Municipal Council of Chania, etc., which concern the historical, social, political, economic and cultural development of our country. The digital collections are constantly enriched with new digitized material, covering the needs of researchers and the general public. The digitization and documentation work was implemented within the framework of the project "Digitization and promotion of the cultural collections of the Municipality of Chania", which has been included in the Operational Program "Competitiveness Entrepreneurship and Innovation (EPAnEK 2014-2020)".
