The history of the Holy Metropolis of Ioannina is closely connected with the history of the city of Ioannina across the Byzantine years, the Despotate of Epirus, and during the Ottoman rule. The Digital Collection of the Holy Metropolis of Ioannina consists of 20 church murals, 200 ecclestiastical icons, 30 sacred vessels, 50 books and 5 gold-embroidered vestments.
