The digital collection of the Vatopedi Monastery comprises 580 primarily printed books and reflects part of the rich library and archival holdings of one of the most significant monasteries of Mount Athos. The material dates mainly to the nineteenth century, with items spanning from the Byzantine period to the modern era. 

The collection is a small part of the Monastery’s extensive library and archive, which include thousands of manuscripts, parchment scrolls, and archival documents such as imperial chrysobulls and patriarchal sigillia. The works represent prominent figures of Greek intellectual history, including Neophytos Doukas, Adamantios Korais, and Konstantinos Paparrigopoulos, highlighting the Monastery’s role in preserving and transmitting Greek learning. The collection provides valuable resources for the study of theological, literary, and intellectual traditions of Hellenism. Date Range: 6th–21st century (predominantly 19th century).
