The collection of the repository of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) consists of more than 13,000 items dating from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. It includes archival publications, photographs, manuscripts, and minutes of meetings.
Noteworthy are the Folklore Archive and the museum collection of the Folklore Museum and Archive, which contain rich primary folklore material derived from field research, preserved in manuscript form (1,224 Folklore Notebooks), as well as an extensive collection of folklore objects—both utilitarian and non-utilitarian—related to everyday life. These objects are made from a variety of materials, including metal, wood, textile, clay, reed, glass, and others.
