The digital collection of the Municipality of Vyronas Digital Repository comprises 2,281 items documenting the city’s vibrant cultural activity, with a particular focus on public events and contemporary forms of artistic expression. The collection is structured around Vyronas’ cultural institutions, such as the Children’s Festival and the “In the Shadow of the Rocks” Festival, as well as other initiatives such as “Cultural Evenings,” “Neighborhoods of Culture,” and the activities of the Isadora and Raymond Duncan Dance Research Centre.
The collection is characterized by the predominance of cultural production records, documenting cultural events, concerts, theatrical and dance performances, and film screenings. Τhe collection includes a substantial body of two-dimensional material, such as printed materials, programs, posters, and photographs, which serve as promotional records of the events. Together with ephemeral materials, they form a valuable archive of cultural life, reflecting both the aesthetic and social dimensions of these activities.
