Γύρω από το ξωκλήσι του Αγ. Νικολάου στον Κάμπο Δωρίδας έχουν διενεργηθεί ανασκαφές που αποκάλυψαν τμήμα της αρχαίας Ποτιδάνειας. Είναι εμφανή ίχνη δημοσίου κτιρίου, καθώς και αρκετοί μακεδονικοί τάφοι στη νότια πλαγιά του λόφου. Μεταξύ των κινητών ευρημάτων συγκαταλέγονται κεραμικά αγγεία, τμήματα υπόγειων κεραμικών αγωγών κ.ά. Η Ποτιδάνεια υπήρξε ένα από τα πολίσματα των Αποδοτών.

Around the rural chuch of Agios Nikolaos at present-day Kambos, in Dorida, have been excavated parts of the ancient town Potidaneia. Traces of a public building are extant around the church, whereas several Macedonian tombs have been revealed on the southern slope of the hill. Among the movable finds count pottery vessels, parts of subterranean terracotta pipes etc. Potidaneia was one of the little towns of the Apodotoi.

Autour de l' église rupestre de Agios Nikolaos, pres du village de Kambos, ont été excavés quelques parts de la ville ancienne de Potidaneia. Des vestiges d'un bâtiment de charactère publique ont été découvertes tout autour de l' église ainsi que des tombeaux macedoniens découverts sur la pente sud de la colline. Parmi les trouvailles sont des vases ainsi que des tubes en terre cuite sous-terrains. Potidaneia était une des petites villes des Apodotiens.
