Επιστολή του επιμελητή αρχαιοτήτων Δελφών Α.Ε. Κοντολέοντος προς το Υπουργείο Θρησκευμάτων και Παιδείας με την οποία ανακοινώνει την τυχαία εύρεση μαρμάρινης γενειοφόρου ανδρικής κεφαλής ύψους 30 εκατοστών στο κράσπεδο της οδού μπροστά στον νότιο τοίχο του τεμένους του Απόλλωνα, κατά τη διάρκεια εργασιών επισκευής και καθαρισμού με αφορμή τη διοργάνωση των Δελφικών Εορτών την ίδια χρονιά. Ο Κοντολέων θεωρεί ότι εικονίζει τον αυτοκράτορα Μάρκο Αυρήλιο.

Letter of the curator of antiquities of Delphi A.E.Kondoleon to the ministry of Religion and Education in which he announces the fortuitous discovery of a marble male bearded head 0.30 m. high on the street in front of the southern wall of the sanctuary of Apollo, during works for restoration and cleaning due to the organization of the Delphic Feasts. Kondoleon thinks that it depicts the Roman emperor Marcus Aurelius.

Kondoleon pense qu'il figure l'empereur romain Marc Aurèle.
