Για τη διενέργεια των ανασκαφών απαλλοτριώθηκε το χωριό Καστρί και οι κάτοικοί του έκτισαν νέα σπίτια σε κοντινή τοποθεσία, όπου βρίσκεται και το σημερινό χωριό των Δελφών. Η φωτογραφία εικονίζει την κατασκευή του νέου χωριού.

In order to carry out the excavations the village Kastri was expropriated and its inhabitants built new houses at a nearby location, where the present-day village Delphi is situated. The picture shows the construction of the new village.
