Kitries lighthouse, Messenia
Φάρος Κιτριών Μεσσηνιακού κόλπου

Beam 14 miles and focal height 31 meters. Square tower 11 meters high in the middle of the west side of the lighthouse keeper's residence. It is located on the cape of the same name, on the NW tip of the Taygetos peninsula and on the Kefalia tip, on the NE coast of the Messinian Gulf. In 1941 it was destroyed by the Germans and reopened in 1944.
Φωτοβολία 14 μίλια και εστιακό ύψος 31 μέτρα. Πύργος τετράγωνος ύψους 11 μέτρων στη μέση της δυτικής πλευράς της κατοικίας των φαροφυλάκων. Βρίσκεται επάνω στο ομώνυμο ακρωτήριο, στη ΒΔ άκρη της χερσονήσου του Ταϋγέτου και στην άκρη Κεφάλια, στη ΒΑ ακτή του Μεσσηνιακού κόλπου. Το 1941 καταστράφηκε από τους Γερμανούς και επαναλειτούργησε το 1944.
