Η βραχονησίδα Πύλος ή Φανάρι ή Τσιχλί Μπαμπά βρίσκεται στα νότια της Σφακτηρίας και κλείνει τον κόλπο του Ναυαρίνου απέναντι από το λιμάνι της Πύλου. Εκεί η Γαλλική κυβέρνηση ανήγειρε το 1890 μνημείο για τους πεσόντες της Γαλλίας στη Ναυμαχία του Ναυαρίνου. Το όνομα Φανάρι το έχει πάρει λόγω του Φάρου που λειτουργεί εκεί από το 1873. Το νησάκι είναι επισκέψιμο τους καλοκαιρινούς μήνες με οργανωμένες εκδρομές με καραβάκι από την Πύλο. (EL)
The islet Pylos or Phanari of Tsihli Baba is located to the south of Sphakteria and blocks the Gulf of Navarino opposite from the port of Pylos. The French government erected in 1890 a monument for the French citizens who fell during the Naval Battle of Navarino. The name Phanari (lantern) is due to the beacon which functions there since 1873. The islet can be visited in the summer with organised boat excursions from Pylos. (EN)
