Το Μνημείο του Ποντιακού Ελληνισμού (Χαϊδάρι) είναι το Ηρώο του Πόντιου Ακρίτα που φιλοτέχνησε ο αείμνηστος Βάσoς Καπάνταης. Η εμβληματική αυτή φυσιογνωμία, χαραγμένη από τα χρόνια της προσφυγιάς, λάξευσε πληθώρα έργων που ως θέμα είχαν τον Ποντιακό Ελληνισμό. Το Ηρώο των Ποντίων στο Χαϊδάρι δημιουργήθηκε το 1987, από χαλκό, ενώ στην μαρμάρινη επιγραφή ο γλύπτης αναφέρει: ΕΣΕΤ’ ΗΜΑΡ ΝΟΣΤΙΜΟΝ (EL)
