Η πλατεία Villeneuve d´ Ascq και το μνημείο που την κοσμεί βρίσκονται εντός του Πάρκου Ιστορικής Μνήμης και Περιβαλλοντικής Ευαισθητοποίησης στο Δήμο Χαϊδαρίου. Η αδελφοποίηση προετοιμάστηκε από τον Επίτιμο Πρόξενο κo. K. Τουρνάκη το 1998 και ολοκληρώθηκε με την ονοματοδοσία της πλατείας στο Χαϊδάρι το 2010. Οι μαρμάρινες στήλες που κοσμούν την πλατεία, γραμμένες στα γαλλικά και στα ελληνικά θυμίζουν πάντα τις στενές σχέσεις των δύο πόλεων. (EL)
