On May 3, 1959, Easter Sunday, people would gather in open fields to roast lambs together as one large community. The egg-cracking competition was a beloved tradition, and the usual winners were those with "tsikrikonitiko" eggs, known for their harder shells.
Στις 3/5/1959 την ημερα του Πασχα μαζευόταν ο κόσμος στις αλάνες για να ψήσουν όλοι οι χωριανοί σαν μια μεγαλη παρεα και νικητές στο τσουγκρισμα των αυγών συνήθως ηταν οι κατοχοι τσικρικονίτικων αυγών, λόγω του πιο σκληρού φλοιού.
