Δέκτης ηλεκτρομαγνητικών κυμάτων, ο οποίος ενεργοποιείται όταν λάβει σήμα κινδύνου στα 500kHz. Το σήμα δίνεται είτε χειροκίνητα από το χειριστή του πλοίου που κινδυνεύει, είτε με αυτόματη συσκευή που λέγεται ¨αυτόματη συσκευή κινδύνου¨.
