Το Διδασκαλείο Κρήτης στο Ηράκλειο διέθετε δύο Πρότυπα Δημοτικά σχολεία καθόλη τη διάρκεια της λειτουργίας του (1901-1933), ένα Μονοτάξιο και ένα Τετρατάξιο Δημοτικό σχολείο. Σε αυτά, εκτός από την κανονική διδακτική λειτουργία, επιτελούνταν και οι πρακτικές διδακτικές ασκήσεις των μαθητών /τριών του Διδασκαλείου, καθώς σε όλα τα Ωρολόγια Προγράμματα με τα οποία λειτούργησε το Διδασκαλείο υπήρχε σχετικό μάθημα. Επιπλέον, στα σχολεία αυτά επιτελούνταν και οι πρακτικές διδακτικές ασκήσεις των μετεκπαιδευόμενων σπουδαστών και σπουδαστριών του Μονοτάξιου τμήματος μετεκπαίδευσης. Στο αρχειακό υλικό του Διδασκαλείου εντοπίστηκαν σχολικά εγχειρίδια και βοηθήματα που αξιοποιούνταν στο πλαίσιο των πρακτικών διδακτικών ασκήσεων. Τα βιβλία αυτά αφορούν το σύνολο των γνωστικών αντικειμένων που διδάσκονταν στα Δημοτικά σχολεία της Κρητικής Πολιτείας (1898-1913) και της Ελλάδας. Ταξινομούνται στις ακόλουθες Θεματικές Κατηγορίες (Θ.Κ.): α. Ελληνική γλώσσα β. Αρχαία ελληνική γλώσσα γ. Ιστορία δ. Θρησκευτικά ε. Μαθηματικά στ. Φυσικές επιστήμες και ζ. Ξένες γλώσσες.
Η Θ.Κ. «Ξένες γλώσσες» περιλαμβάνει ένα σχολικό εγχειρίδια διδασκαλίας της Γαλλικής Γλώσσας για το Γυμνάσιο.
Το βιβλίο "Γαλλική χρηστομάθεια, διά την Α' τάξιν των Γυμνασίων και την αντίστοιχην τάξιν των λοιπών σχολείων της Μέσης Εκπαιδεύσεως και την Γ' τάξιν των Αστικών σχολείων θηλέων" ανήκε στην κατηγορία «Ξένες γλώσσες» της δανειστικής βιβλιοθήκης του Διδασκαλείου Κρήτης στο Ηράκλειο. Πρόκειται για την τρίτη έκδοση του σχολικού εγχειριδίου Α΄ τάξης των Γυμνασίων, της αντίστοιχης τάξης των υπόλοιπων σχολείων Μέσης Εκπαίδευσης και της Γ΄ τάξης των Αστικών σχολείων θηλέων, από τις εκδόσεις της Εστίας, και ακολουθεί τα σχετικά Αναλυτικά Προγράμματα του 1914. Ο συγγραφέας Θεόδωρος Κύπριος ήταν καθηγητής Γαλλικών στο Δ΄ Γυμνάσιο Αθηνών. Το εν λόγω βιβλίο είναι αναγνωστικό για την εκμάθηση της γαλλικής γλώσσας. Περιλαμβάνει πλήθος γαλλικών κειμένων από σημαντικούς Γάλλους συγγραφείς με σύντομα βιογραφικά τους σημειώματα. Τέλος, περιέχει και ένα λεξιλόγιο με μεταφράσεις επιλεγμένων λέξεων που βρίσκονται στα παραπάνω βιογραφικά σημειώματα.

The Didaskaleion of Crete in Heraklion had two Standard Primary schools throughout its operation (1901-1933), a One-Grade and a Four-Grade Primary school. In these apart from the normal teaching function, the practical teaching exercises of the students of the Didaskaleion were carried out, as in all the timetables according to which the Didaskaleion operated there was a relevant lesson. In addition, the practical teaching exercises of the continuing education students of the One-Grade continuing education department were also carried out in these schools. In the archival material of the Teaching School, textbooks and teaching aids were identified that were used in the context of practical teaching exercises. These books cover the entire range of subjects taught in primary schools in the Cretan State (1898-1913) and in Greece. They are classified in the following Thematic Categories (T.C.): a. Greek language. b. Ancient Greek language. c. History. d. Religious subjects. e. Mathematics. f. Natural sciences and g. Foreign languages.
The T.C. "Foreign languages" includes a textbook for teaching the French language in High school.
The book "French proficiency, for the 1st class of Gymnasiums and the corresponding class of other secondary schools and the 3rd class of Urban girls' schools" belonged to the "Foreign languages" category of the lending library of the Didaskaleion of Crete in Heraklion. This is the third edition of the school textbook for the 1st grade of the Gymnasiums, the corresponding grade of the other secondary schools and the 3rd grade of the Urban girls' schools. It was published by Estia and follows the relevant Analytical Programs of 1914. The author Theodoros Kyprios was a teacher of French at the 4th Gymnasium of Athens. The forementioned book is a reading material for French language learning. It includes a number of French texts by important French authors with brief biographical notes. Finally, it contains a glossary with translations of selected words found in the biographies above.

Le Didaskalio (École pour la formation des enseignants) de Crète à Héraklion, au long de la période de son fonctionnement (1901-1933), disposait de deux «Écoles Élémentaires Modèles» (Protipa dimotika scholia), une à un niveau et une à quatre niveaux. Dans ces écoles, mis à part l’enseignement habituel, avaient aussi lieu les stages pratiques des étudiant(e)s de Didaskalio, car tout long de la période du fonctionnement de Didaskalio il y avait dans les programmes des cours relatifs à des stages pratiques. Dans ces écoles avaient aussi lieu les stages pratiques deceux et celles qui suivaient des cours en formation continue. Dans les archives de Didaskalio, on a retrouvé des manuels scolaires et des guides qui étaient utilisés dans le cadre des stages pratiques. Ces livres concernaient l’ensemble des disciplines enseignées dans les écoles élémentaires de l’État Crétois (1898-1913) et de la Grèce. Ces livres ont été classées aux catégories suivantes: a. Langue grecque, b. Grec ancien, c. Histoire, d. Cours de religion, e. Mathématiques, f. Sciences naturelles et g. Langues étrangères.
La catégorie «Langues étrangères» comporte des manuels scolaires d’enseignement du français pour le collège.
Le livre "Anthologie pour l’enseignement du français, pour la première année des collèges et pour le niveau équivalent des autres écoles de l’enseignement secondaire et pour la troisième année des écoles urbaines pour les filles" appartenait à la catégorie «Langues étrangères» de la bibliothèque de prêt de Didaskalio (École pour la formation des enseignants) de Crète à Héraklion. Il s’agit de la troisième édition du manuel scolaire de la première année des collèges, du niveau équivalent des autres écoles de l’enseignement secondaire et de la troisième année des écoles urbaines pour les filles. Il a été publié par les éditions Estia et est conforme aux programmes officiels correspondants de 1914. Son auteur, Théodoros Kyprios, était professeur de français au 4ème collège d’Athènes.Le livre Anthologie pour l’enseignement du françaisestun manuel de lecture pour l’enseignement-apprentissage du français. Il comporte beaucoup de textes français des grands écrivains français, accompagnés de brèves notices sur la biographie de ces auteurs. Enfin, il comporte un dictionnaire avec des traductions des mots sélectionnés issus des notices biographiques mentionnées ci-dessus.
