Ένα Ξυστό αποτελείται κυρίως από ασπρόμαυρα διακοσμητικά μοτίβα σε διαφορετικά σχήματα. Είναι μια μορφή διακόσμησης των προσόψεων των κτιρίων του χωριού, στο Πυργί, στο νησί της Χίου, στην Ελλάδα. Το Ξύστα είναι φτιαγμένο από διάφορα ασπρόμαυρα σχήματα. Ξεκινούν από τη μέση των θυρών του σπιτιού και εκτείνονται προς τα πάνω, καλύπτοντας το μεγαλύτερο μέρος της πρόσοψης. Είναι ένα στυλ που πιστεύεται ότι είναι ιταλικής - γενουατικής - προέλευσης (sgraffito). Η παράδοση στα Ξύστα έχει μεγάλη σημασία για τους κατοίκους του Πυργίου καθώς συνδέονται με την ταυτότητά τους.

A Xysto (plural Xysta, meaning "scratches") mostly consists of black and white decorative motifs in different shapes. It is a form of decorating the facades of the buildings of the village, of Pyrgi, on the island of Chios, in Greece. Xysta is made of various black and white shapes. They start from the middle of the house doors and extend upwards, covering most of the facade. It is a style that is believed to be of Italian - Genoese - origin (sgraffito). The tradition of Xysta is of great importance for the inhabitants of Pyrgi as they are connected to their identity.
