Ακέραιο αμφικωνικό πηνίο κενό εσωτερικά. Τοποθετούταν και περιστρεφόταν σε κάποιο κάθετο άξονα που επέτρεπε το ξετύλιγμα του νήματος. Πιθανόν αποτέλεσε τμήμα σαΐτας και χρησιμοποιήθηκε για την ύφανση σε αργαλειό. (EL)
