Η Παναγία, ολόσωμη, κάθεται σε φαρδύ σκαλιστό θρόνο με δύο μαξιλάρια και σκύβει προς τον Χριστό, τον οποίο κρατά καθιστό με το αριστερό της χέρι περασμένο από τη μέση του. Ο Χριστός κοιτάζει αριστερά, ευλογεί με το δεξί και με το αριστερό κρατά άγραφη ξετυλιγμένη ταινία. Επάνω δύο άγγελοι γονατιστοί σε σύννεφα κρατούν το στέμμα της Θεοτόκου. Δίπλα τα συμπιλήματα ΜΡ ΘΥ και πιο κάτω Η ΚΥΡΙΑ Η ΦΑΝΕΡΩΜΕΝΗ. Κάτω από τα πλευρικά στηρίγματα του θρόνου, πίσω από τα μαξιλάρια, δύο μικρές μορφές προφητών κρατούν ταινίες χωρίς επιγραφές. Inscribed at the bottom, BROTHERHOOD OF MAINLANDERS. The Virgin is seated on a wide carved throne spread with cushions, her head inclined over Christ child whom she holds in a sitting position with her left arm around his waist. Christ looks towards the left, his right hand raised in benediction and his left holding a scroll, unrolled and blank. At the top two angels, kneeling on clouds, hold a crown over the Virgin’s head. Beside them are the cyphers ΜΡ ΘΥ, and a little lower THE KYRIA PHANEROMENI. The miniature figures of two prophets holding uninscribed scrolls crouch by the cushions beneath the arms of the throne.
