Επιγραφή, που μόλις διακρίνεται, χαραγμένη σε αντίστροφη φορά κάτω από την παράσταση, ΕΧΑΛΚΟΧΑΡΑΧΘΗ ΔΙΑ ΧΕΙΡΟΣ ΠΑΡΘΕΝΙΟΥ ΙΕΡΟΜΟΝΑΧΟΥ ΕΞ ΑΓΙΟΥ ΟΡΟΥΣ. Η αγία Άννα με την Παναγία στον τύπο της Οδηγήτριας εικονίζεται στο κέντρο και πλαισιώνεται στα πλάγια και επάνω από δεκαπέντε μετάλλια με τους προφήτες (από κάτω αριστερά) Ιακώβ, Δαβίδ, Δανιήλ, Ελισαίο, Ησαΐα, Γεδεών, Ααρών, Σαμουήλ, Μωυσή, Αβακούμ, Ιερεμία, Ηλία, Ζαχαρία, Σολομώντα και Ζαχαρία. Κάτω από την κεντρική εικόνα η σκήτη της αγίας Άννας έχει περιοριστεί και αντιστραφεί και η παραλία μόλις διακρίνεται στην άκρη δεξιά. Πάνω από τη σκήτη η επιγραφή Η ΣΚΗΤΗ ΤΗΣ ΑΓΙΑΣ ΑΝΝΗΣ. Ο ιερομόναχος Παρθένιος θα πρέπει να είναι ο γνωστός χαράκτης Παρθένιος ο Ζακύνθιος. [Πηγή: Ντ. Παπαστράτου, Χάρτινες Εικόνες. There is a barely legible inscription, engraved as a mirror image, at the bottom of the illustration: Engraved on copper through the hand of Parthenios hieromonk from Mount Athos. Saint Anne with the Virgin in the manner of the Hodegetria is depicted in the centre, surrounded at the sides and top by fifteen portrait medallions of prophets: clockwise (from lower left), Jacob, David, Daniel, Elisha, Isaiah, Gideon, Aaron, Samuel, Moses, Habakkuk, Jeremiah, Elijah, Zachariah, Solomon, Zachariah. Beneath the main picture is a restricted view of the skete of Saint Anne; the shore can just be made out on the extreme right. THE SKETE OF SAINT ANNE is the inscription above the roof-tops of the settlement. The hieromonk Parthenios must be the well-known engraver Parthenios Zakynthios. [Source: D. Papastratos, Paper Icons.
