Οι άγιοι Σαράντα Μάρτυρες της Σεβάστειας είναι παραταγμένοι σε τέσσερις σειρές εκ των οποίων στην πρώτη απεικονίζονται ολόσωμοι με μακρύ ιμάτιο και μανδύα και το σταυρό του μαρτυρίου στο χέρι, ενώ στις πίσω σειρές διακρίνονται μόνο οι μορφές πλαισιωμένες από φωτοστέφανο. Επάνω, ο Χριστός στηθαίος, σε ακτινωτή δόξα, ευλογεί.

The Forty Holy Martyrs of Sevasteia are assembled in four rows, one behind the other. In the front row they are portrayed full-length, each in a long imation and cloak and holding the cross of martyrdom; in the rows behind only their heads, ringed with halos, can be seen. Above them Christ, a bust-length figure in a radiant glory, imparts a blessing.
