Ιστορικό Σημείωμα: Οίκος Βενετών πατρικίων, που έδωσε μεταξύ των άλλων δύο δούκες της Κρήτης (15ος αι.). Εδώ απεικονίζεται το οικόσημο του προνοητή και καπετάνου Κερκύρας Zaccaria Balbi. Υπενθυμίζεται ότι η Κέρκυρα διετέλεσε υπό βενετική κυριαρχία για δύο περιόδους, από το 1204 έως το 1214 και από το 1386 έως το 1797.
