Ταύτιση φορέα του οικόσημου: Costantino Emo, Βενετός σύμβουλος της Αυθεντίας της Κρήτης (EL)
Ιστορικό Σημείωμα: Οίκος Βενετών πατρικίων, που έδωσε μεταξύ των άλλων ένα δούκα της Κρήτης (16ος αι.). Το συγκεκριμένο οικόσημο τοποθετήθηκε στα τείχη του Ηρακλείου με την ευκαιρία οχυρωματικών εργασιών του έτους 1575. Υπενθυμίζεται ότι το Ηράκλειο διετέλεσε υπό βενετική κυριαρχία από τις αρχές του 13ου αιώνα έως το 1669. (EL)

Historical Notice: Venetian patrician house, including a duke of Crete (16th c.). This particular coat-of-arms was posed on the walls of Irakleio during the works of fortification carried out in 1575. Irakleio was under Venetian rule from the early 13th century to 1669. (EN)
