Ιστορικό Σημείωμα: Οικογένεια προκρίτων της Πάρου, της οποίας το επώνυμο μαρτυρείται στο νησί από τον 17ο αιώνα. Μέλη της οικογένειας υπήρξαν ιδιοκτήτες πύργου στα Ψυχοπιανά (Επισκοπιανά), κτήτορες του Ναού Αγίων Αναργύρων στην Παροικιά, αφιερωτές σε διάφορους άλλους ναούς, ιερείς και μοναχοί. Το συγκεκριμένο οικόσημο (λέων όρθιος αριστερόστροφος που κρατά ή αναρριχάται σε δένδρο) βρίσκεται στο υπέρθυρο της εισόδου ιδιωτικής οικίας στην Παροικιά που ανήκε άλλοτε στην οικογένεια Αλισάφη. Βασιζόμενος στα αρχικά Γ και Α που συνοδεύουν το οικόσημο, ο μελετητής Νίκος Αλιπράντης το αποδίδει στον Γεώργιο Αλισάφη.

Identification of the bearer: Georgios Alissafis, notable of Paros (18th century)

Historical Notice: Family of notables of Paros, including the owners of a tower-house at Psychopiana (Episkopiana), the founders of the church of Agioi Anargyroi in Paroikia, donors in various other churches, priests and monks. The family name is detected on the islands of Paros, Milos and Naxos, since the 17th c. This particular coat-of-arms (lion rampant looking left and holding or climbing on a tree), is to be found above the entrance of a private house in Paroikia, once belonging to the family. Based on the presence of the letters Γ and Α, the scholar Nikos Aliprantis assumes that it belonged to Georgios Alisafis.
