Ιστορικό Σημείωμα: Σύνθεση οικοσήμων δύο Βενετών αξιωματούχων (του δόγη Cristoforo Moro ή του ρέκτορα Luigi Moro αφενός και πιθανότατα του δόγη Nicolo Trono αφετέρου), που τοποθετήθηκαν στα τείχη του Κάστρου της Μύρινας προφανώς όταν η Λήμνος τελούσε υπό βενετική κατοχή (1464-1479) και τα οποία έχουν εντοιχιστεί εκ των υστέρων στο σημείο που βρίσκονται σήμερα, και μάλιστα ανεστραμμένα.

Historical Notice: Heraldic ensemble, bearing the coats-of arms of two Venetian officials (the doge Cristoforo Moro or the rector Luigi Moro on one hand, and probably the doge Nicolo Trono on the other). It is obviously dated from the period of the Venetian occupation of Limnos (1464-1479). Both shields were displaced to their actual (upside-down) position, in a later date.
