Ταύτιση Οικοσήμου: Εραλδικό σύνολο

Ιστορικό Σημείωμα: Εραλδικό σύνολο με τα οικόσημα του Μεγάλου Μαγίστρου του Τάγματος του Οσπιταλίου του Αγίου Ιωάννου της Ιερουσαλήμ, Pierre d' Aubusson (αριστερά, 1476-1503) και του ιππότη Codardo de Carmadino, κομεντόρη (διοικητή) της νήσου Κω (δεξιά), που πλαισιώνουν τον εμβληματικό σταυρό του Τάγματος (βλ. επιμέρους θυρεούς). Υπενθυμίζεται ότι η Κως παρέμεινε υπό την κυριαρχία των Ιωαννιτών από τις αρχές του 14ου αιώνα μέχρι το 1522.

Historical Notice: Heraldic ensemble bearing the coats-of arms of the Grand Master of the Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem, Pierre d' Aubusson (left, 1476-1503) and of the knight Codardo de Carmadino, preceptor (commander) of the island of Kos, surrounding the cross, crest of the Order (see each coat-of-arms in particular). Kos was occupied by the Hospitallers from the beginning of the 14th century to 1522.
