Institution : Nikos Kazantzakis Museum Foundation
The Anemogiannis Archive is among the most systematically organized and thoroughly documented theatre archives in Greece, holding notable significance at an international level. It was donated to the Kazantzakis Museum by Giorgos Anemogiannis in 2005 and constitutes a rich and multifaceted body of material documenting both theatrical practice and research.
The collection comprises of over 2700 items, chrologolically covers the period 1934-1992 and offers documentation for more than five hundred theatrical productions, along with drawings, three-dimensional set and costume models, press coverage, photographic material, correspondence, administrative records, notebooks, books, and personal items, offering a comprehensive insight into theatrical creation and production.
