Το Κωρύκειο άντρο χρονολογείται στην Πλειστόκαινο εποχή και απέχει 11 χιλιόμετρα από τους Δελφούς, βρίσκεται δε σε υψόμετρο 1360 μέτρων. Περιβάλλεται από δάσος ελάτης και στην αρχαιότητα οδηγούσε σε αυτό ένα φιδωτό μονοπάτι, όπως το περιέγραψε ο Παυσανίας. Στο σπήλαιο έχουν εντοπιστεί δείγματα κατοίκησης και λατρείας που ανάγονται στη νεολιθική περίοδο. Το Κωρύκειο άντρο ήταν αφιερωμένο στον Πάνα και τις Κωρύκειες Νύμφες. Το σπήλαιο διαθέτει σταλακτίτες και σταλαγμίτες. Η αρχαιολογική έρευνα του σπηλαίου, που συντελέστηκε κατά τη διετία 1970-71 από τον Pierre Amandry, απέδωσε χιλιάδες ευρήματα, ιδιαίτερα αντικείμενα κεραμικής, αλλά και 25.000 και πλέον κότσια ζώων, τα οποία μάλλον συνδέονται με μαντικές δραστηριότητες. Κατά την περσική επιδρομή του 480 π.Χ. εκεί κατέφυγαν οι κάτοικοι των Δελφών για να προστατευθούν, ενώ σε όλη τη διάρκεια της ιστορίας του συνέρρεαν προσκυνητές.

The Corycian cave dates to the Pleistocene and is located at a distance of 11 klms from Delphi, at an altitude of 1360 m. It is surrounded by a fir tree forest; in antiquity a path with many turns led to it, as in Pausanias' description. In the cave there were traces of habitation and cult dating to the Neolithic period. The Corycian cave was dedicated to Pan and the Corycian Nymphs. The cave has stalactites and stalagmites. The archaeological investigation, which was carried out in 1970-71 by Pierre Amandry, yielded thousands of finds, particularly pottery, as well as about 25.000 shanks of animals, which are probably related to divination activities. During the Persian raid in 480 B.C. the inhabitants of Delphi hid in the cave in order to protect themselves, whereas throughout its history in antiquity pilgrims flocked there.
