Η Επαρχιακή Συνέλευση του Λιδωρικίου αναφέρει στη Διοικητική Επιτροπή ότι ο Αυγουστίνος Καποδίστριας μεταχειρίστηκε κάθε μέσο (ακόμα και τη δωροδοκία και τον καταγκασμό) για να πάρει τους κατοίκους του Άργους με το μέρος του και συγχαίρει του Ρουμελιώτες που ξεσηκώθηκαν εναντίον του.
