Ο Διαμαντής Νικολάου Ολύμπιος πληροφορεί τους Γ. Δυοβουνιώτη, Γεώργιο Βάγια κ.ά. ότι ο Ιω. Μαμούρης απέτυχε στο σκοπό του και επέστρεψε στο Δίστομο, ενώ ο ίδιος είναι έτοιμος να αναχωρήσει με τους στρατιώτες του για όπου υπάρχει ανάκη, ζητώντας να σταλούν το συντομότερο δυνατόν χρήματα και πολεμοφόδια για να εμποδίσει την προσχώρηση των στρατιωτών του στο σώμα του Μαμούρη.
