Ο Βάσος Μαυροβουνιώτης αναφέρει στη Διοικητική Επιτροπή της Ελλάδος ότι οι εχθροί της πατρίδος προσπάθησαν -ανεπιτυχώς- να πάρουν με το μέρος τους τους φιλελεύθερους στρατιώτες κι έστειλαν άνδρες από τα σώματα Ελευσίνας και Μάνδρας για να ληστεύσουν τους κατοίκους, οι οποίοι όμως συνελήφθησαν και στέλνονται στη Διοίκηση, και ζητά να σταλούν στρατιωτικές ενισχύσεις στους ομοφρονούντες στη Θήβα.
