Έχοντας ιδρυθεί το 1902, η Buick απετέλεσε τη βασική εταιρία, πάνω στην οποία δημιουργήθηκε το 1908 η General Motors. To συγκεκριμένο αυτοκίνητο κατασκευάστηκε το 1930 στο Detroit των Η.Π.Α. Διαθέτει τον γνωστό 6-κύλινδρο κινητήρα, που χρησιμοποίησε η εταιρία για πρώτη φορά το 1914 και που ήταν ο μόνος διαθέσιμος στην περίοδο 1925-1930, με κυβισμό 4.800 κ.ε.
