A tool consisting of two rectangular pieces of wood joined at one end by a leather hinge. There is an aperture in one of the pieces of wood, and this holds the stem of a goblet or wineglass while it is being made. The clapper is used to squeeze a blob of glass in order to form the foot. Brown wood, probably apple or pear wood, leather; handmade. Two wooden leaves, fastened together with two leather hinges, each having four small nails. One leaf is a long narrow rectangle with a handle having a hook for hanging, the other leaf has no handle and has cut-outs for flat circular objects. The inner surface of both is slightly charred.

Un outil composé de deux morceaux de bois rectangulaires reliés à une extrémité par une charnière en cuir. Il y a une ouverture dans l'un des morceaux de bois, et cela tient la tige d'un gobelet ou d'un verre à vin pendant sa fabrication. Le battant est utilisé pour presser une goutte de verre afin de former le pied. Bois brun, probablement pommier ou poirier, cuir; Fait main.
