Ο άγιος Νικόλαος απεικονίζεται με αρχιερατικά άμφια, καθισμένος σε λιτό μαρμάρινο θρόνο. Επάνω, μέσα σε νεφέλες, απεικονίζονται τα πρόσωπα της αγίας Τριάδος, ο Πατήρ και ο Υιός, που κρατούν ανάμεσά τους ουράνια σφαίρα και πιο ψηλά το άγιο Πνεύμα. Μέσα από τα σύννεφα ξεπροβάλλουν κεφαλάκια αγγέλων με φτερά. Από την αναθηματική επιγραφή μαθαίνουμε ότι το χαρακτικό προερχόταν από τον ομώνυμο ναό της Αγίας Τριάδας και του Αγίου Νικολάου στην Τεργέστη και ότι αυτό προσφερόταν στους πιστούς από την ελληνική αδελφότητα στην οποία ανήκε ο ναός.

St. Nicholas wearing sacerdotal vestments is depicted on an austere marble throne. Above him, on clouds, are the three figures of the Holy Trinity, the eternal Father, and the Son, holding a celestial globe between them, with the Holy Spirit above them. The heads of winged angels emerge from the clouds. From the votive inscription we learn that the engraving is of the church of the Holy Trinity and St. Nicholas in Trieste and that it was offered to the congregation by the Greek brotherhood to which the church belonged.
