Στο μέσο κυριαρχεί η μορφή του θριαμβευτή αναστημένου Χριστού που πατά πάνω στον μαρμάρινο τάφο. Φοράει περίζωμα. Στα δεξιά φτερωτός άγγελος κάθεται πάνω στον κενό τάφο. Πάνοπλοι στρατιώτες εικονίζονται πεσμένοι στο κάτω μέρος της εικόνας, που πλαισιώνουν τον τάφο, θαμπωμένοι από το αναστάσιμο φώς. (EL)
