Ιστορικό Σημείωμα: Καθολική οικογένεια, της οποίας μέλη εντοπίζονται μέχρι σήμερα στις Κυκλάδες και την Αθήνα, με το επώνυμο εξελληνισμένο σε "Δαρμανής". Το συγκεκριμένο οικόσημο ανήκει στον Domenico Darmanin που διετέλεσε καθολικός επίσκοπος Σύρου (1901-1912) και στη συνέχεια αρχιεπίσκοπος Κερκύρας, Κεφαλληνίας και Ζακύνθου (1912-1919). Αυτός είναι ο λόγος που φέρει αρχιεπισκοπικό καπέλλο με δέκα θυσσάνους σε τέσσερις σειρές.

Historical Notice: Catholic family, whose members are to be found in the Kyklades and in Athens, with their name hellenized as "Darmanis". This particular coat-of-arms belongs to Domenico Darmanin who became catholic bishop of Syros (1901-1912) and then archbishop of Kerkyra, Kefallinia and Zakynthos (1912-1919). That is the reason why his coat-of-arms bears an archbishop's ecclesiastical hat with ten tassels on each side arranged in four rows of one, two, three and four.
