Ιστορικό Σημείωμα: Οίκος Βενετών πατρικίων, που έδωσε μεταξύ των άλλων ένα δόγη της Βενετίας (17ος αι.) και εννέα δούκες της Κρήτης (13ος, 14ος, 15ος και 16ος αι.). Το συγκεκριμένο οικόσημο προέρχεται από το Κάστρο της Τήνου (που καταστράφηκε το 1714), είναι όμως άγνωστο σε ποιο μέλος της οικογένειας ανήκε. Υπενθυμίζεται ότι η Τήνος διετέλεσε υπό βενετική κυριαρχία από το 1390 έως το 1714. (EL)
Historical Notice: Venetian patrician house, including a doge of Venice (17th c.) and nine dukes of Crete (13th, 14th, 15th και 16th c.). This coat-of-arms was originally found in the Kastro of Tinos (destroyed in 1714), but it is not identified with any particular member of the family. Tinos was under Venetian rule from 1390 to 1714.
