Αναφέρει ότι είναι αξιέπαινη η λύση του ζητήματος της αναγνώρισης του Οικουμενικού Πατριάρχη από τον Μητροπολίτη Σμύρνης και σημειώνει ότι δεν πρέπει να διακοπεί η επαφή των κορυφαίων Φιλελευθέρων της Σμύρνης με τον Μητροπολίτη, γιατί σε διαφορετική περίπτωση δεν είναι δυνατό να καταπολεμηθεί η επιρροή που υφίσταται από τους αντιπάλους.
