The collection of the Virtual Museum of Industrial Heritage of the Centre for the Dissemination of Science and Technology Museum NOESIS in Thessaloniki consists of a curated set of 194 digitised objects related to technology and science, with a particular focus on transport, telecommunications, mass media, and image and sound engineering.

The collection is composed predominantly of three-dimensional objects—primarily machines, tools, and technical equipment—which reflect the material culture of industrial and technological development. It includes, among others, transport vehicles, telecommunications devices such as telephone apparatus and related equipment, computing machines, and installations that illustrate key stages in the evolution of modern technological systems. A smaller group of two-dimensional items, mainly reproductions, complements the collection.

Chronologically, the collection spans the 20th and early 21st centuries, with the majority of objects dating from the periods 1950–1999 and 2000 onwards, while a smaller number of items trace technological developments back to the first half of the 20th century.

The thematic structure of the collection reflects core domains of technological history, including cinema, photography, television, and image projection technologies, as well as printing and sound reproduction. Additional thematic units address computing and mathematical devices, telecommunications, transport (land, air, and maritime), scientific instruments, medical technology, and aspects of everyday life and traditional professions.

Through this structured and thematically rich corpus, the collection offers a concise yet representative overview of industrial and technological heritage, highlighting the interplay between scientific innovation, technological application, and social use.
