Institution : Benaki Museum / Μουσείο Μπενάκη  

The Chinese and Korean Art Collection of the Benaki Museum consists primarily of the donation of George Eumorfopoulos, a prominent member of the Greek diaspora in London and one of the most significant collectors and scholars of East Asian art in the early 20th century. 

The digital collection on SearchCulture features 204 ceramic objects illustrating the evolution of Chinese ceramic art from the 3rd millennium BC to the 19th century AD. The dataset includes Neolithic vessels with geometric decoration, funerary figurines from the Han and Tang dynasties, elegantly proportioned vessels from the Song dynasty, and exquisite porcelains from the Ming and Qing dynasties.
