Ο Άνθιμος Γαζής αναφέρει τον ένωση τουρκικού στόλου από την Κωνσταντινούπολη με στόλο της Θεσσαλονίκης. Κατακρίνει την άρνηση του Οδυσσέα Ανδρούτσου να μην εκστρατεύσει χωρίς τη συγκατάθεση και των τριών νησιών και προτείνει σχέδιο στρατιωτικής αντιμετώπισης.
