The Museum of Education of the University of Crete has a digital collection about the history of local educational systems and the history of the teaching profession during the modern period of Greek history.
It includes educational material and archival documents of the Cretan Didaskaleion and the Pedagogical Academy of Heraklion, as well as exhibits from schools in Crete from the late 18th century to the end of the 20th century. Subcollections with particular interest include the 3D scans of teaching props and school memorabilia, the pedagogical illustrations of plants, animals and the Bible, as well as end-of-year photographs of classes of the Didaskaleion of Crete.
