The digital collection is the result of the funded project “From the Aegean to the Ionian: A Sea of Knowledge” and consists of 262 publications from the 19th and early 20th centuries (a total of 91,700 pages). Users have free access to the digitized books, most of which are not available from other institutions. Notable examples include the rare edition of Flora Graeca and the multi-volume Description de l’Égypte, considered one of the most important and rarest books in the world. Most books are in French and English, and there are also Latin, Italian and Greek.
