Αναφέρει ότι παρακολουθεί με συμπάθεια το έργο της Οικουμενικής Κυβέρνησης αλλά θεωρεί ότι θα πρέπει να παραιτηθεί, εφόσον δεν επιλύσει το στρατιωτικό ζήτημα. Εκφράζει επίσης την ανυσηχία του για την πληροφορία σύμφωνα με την οποία κάποιοι δημοκρατικοί αξιωματικοί ασκούν πίεση στους δημοκρατικούς πολιτικούς για να ματιαωθεί η λύση του στρατιωτικού ζητήματος.
