Ο Βενιζέλος απορεί με την απαισιοδοξία του Νίδερ που δεν δικαιολογείται από το μέγεθος των εχθρικών δυνάμεων. Τον διαβεβαιώνει οτι θα αποσταλούν ενισχύσεις και δίνει οδηγίες για το ποιές πρέπει να είναι οι επόμενες στρατηγικές του κινήσεις. Η εκκένωση του Ναζλή τον κάνει να αμφιβάλλει για το φρόνημα του στρατού και του ζητεί να λάβει μέτρα. (EL)
